RUDADelete your account

From the app
- On Home, tap your profile icon at the top right.
- Open My account ("Mi cuenta").
- Under Session ("Sesión"), choose Delete my account ("Eliminar mi cuenta").
- Confirm it is you: with your password if you use a username, or by signing in again with Apple or Google if you use one of them.
The app needs a connection to complete deletion on the server. If it fails, it shows the error so you can retry.
A guest account, the one created when you pay before securing an account, can also be deleted from the same place, or by asking from Support inside the app, where the request arrives with that account.
If you signed in with Apple, deleting the account makes RUDA ask Apple to revoke the permission you granted.
Deleting the account does not cancel your subscription
Renewals are charged by the App Store or Google Play. Cancel first from My account → Manage my subscription or from your store settings.
What is deleted from the server
Immediately: your account and username, the derived password and recovery key, the Apple or Google identifier, your alias and bio, your open sessions, your posts, your replies, your "This helped" reactions, your follows and other people's follows of you, your reports, your contributions to the community count, the purchases registered to you, the record of your Rudo conversations and their ratings, your support messages, your account's technical summary, and the usage events and days of activity associated with your account. The installation stops being associated with your account.
What is not deleted with the account
- What is on your phone. Your notebook and your Rudo conversations are stored on the device, not on the server. They are deleted when you uninstall the app. If you exported a copy, that copy is yours and stays where you saved it.
- The accounting record of purchases. It is kept without your account: store, plan, price, currency, country and status, identified by the store's transaction number. It supports accounting and refund handling. Apple and Google keep their own records.
- Apple and Google notices about those purchases, for up to 400 days from arrival.
- Data in PostHog and Sentry. It is not deleted item by item when the account is deleted: it remains under random identifiers that no longer correspond to any RUDA account and is deleted when each service's retention period ends. If you want it deleted sooner, ask and it will be deleted.
- Render and Cloudflare technical logs, for the short periods of those services.
- What you wrote on Instagram. That conversation is kept by Meta and InstantDM. RUDA keeps your contact identifier and which post brought you; you can ask for it to be deleted.
- What other people copied. A post that someone copied, quoted or saved outside the app is beyond our reach.
Backups
As of September 12, 2026, the database has no automatic backups: deleted data does not remain in any copy. If they are enabled, their retention period will be published here first.
Deleting data without deleting the account
Your profile, allergies, medication, daily record and Rudo conversations are edited and deleted inside the app, because they are on your phone. Your posts and replies are deleted from the wall. To delete your support messages, your usage events or your Instagram record without deleting the account, ask from Support inside the app.
If you no longer have access to the app
If you signed in with Apple or Google, sign in with that same account on another device and delete from there. If you signed in with a username and password and saved your recovery key, recover access on another device and delete from there.
If you have none of that, write to hola@rudabotica.app. Note the real limit: RUDA accounts are not linked to an email address, so we cannot confirm through that channel that the account is yours, and deleting someone else's account on a third party's request would be worse than not deleting it. What we can do is take down published content that identifies you. Do not send your password or your recovery key by email.
